# DawaMap — Terms of Use Version: 2026-08-11 --- These terms apply when you use the DawaMap app or website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use DawaMap. ## What DawaMap is **DawaMap is a way to reach a pharmacy. It is not a pharmacy.** We show you pharmacies near you and carry your prescription to the one you choose. The pharmacy decides whether it has your medicine, what it costs, and whether to dispense it. We do not stock, sell, dispense, price or deliver medicine, and we are not a party to the sale. **We do not give medical advice.** Nothing in the app is a recommendation to take or not take any medicine. Your doctor and your pharmacist are the people qualified to advise you. ## Who can use it You must be 18 or older to hold an account. You may send a prescription for someone in your care — a child or a parent, for instance — but the account remains yours and you are responsible for what is sent from it. ## Your prescription is your responsibility When you send a prescription you are confirming that it is genuine, that it was issued to you or to someone in your care, and that it is still valid. We do not verify prescriptions. The pharmacy checks it before dispensing, and may refuse. **Sending a forged, altered or expired prescription is a serious matter.** We will close the account of anyone who does it and, where the law requires, report it. ## Prices, availability and payment The price and availability you see come from the pharmacy, not from us. A quote is that pharmacy's offer for that order, and it can change if what you asked for is not what is dispensed. **You pay the pharmacy directly, in cash.** No money passes through DawaMap. That means: - A receipt comes from the pharmacy, not from us. - A refund, a price dispute or a billing question is between you and the pharmacy. We can help you contact them, and that is the extent of it. ## Collection and delivery For collection, the order is between you and the pharmacy and we are not involved once it is ready. **Where a pharmacy offers delivery**, the pharmacy arranges it and quotes the fee, and you pay in cash on the doorstep. The medicine remains the pharmacy's responsibility until it reaches you. If nobody is there to receive it, or the address you gave is wrong, the pharmacy may charge the delivery fee anyway — that is their decision, not ours. ## What you must not do - Send anything that is not a genuine prescription for a real order. - Use the service for anything other than obtaining medicine for yourself or someone in your care. - Attempt to obtain a controlled medicine without a valid prescription. - Abuse, threaten or harass pharmacy staff in the chat. - Try to access another person's orders, prescriptions or messages. - Copy our pharmacy listings, scrape the service, or attempt to break it. ## Ratings and reviews You can rate a pharmacy you have completed an order with. Say what you experienced. We remove reviews that are abusive, that identify a member of staff, or that are not about a real order. ## Your account Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has it. **You can delete your account at any time**, from the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us. ## Your prescriptions and your data How we handle prescription images and everything else about you is set out in the **Privacy Policy**, which forms part of these terms. In short: we hold the image only for the pharmacy you chose, we destroy it 90 days after the order closes, and you can destroy it sooner yourself. ## When the service is not available We do not promise the service is always available, and we will sometimes take it down to work on it. **DawaMap is not for emergencies.** If somebody needs medicine urgently, go to a pharmacy or a hospital. Do not wait for a reply here. ## What we are responsible for We are responsible for running this service with reasonable care. **We are not responsible for the medicine.** Whether it is in stock, what it costs, whether it is dispensed correctly, whether it arrives, and whether it is right for you are matters for the pharmacy and your prescriber. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. ## Changes We will update these terms as the service changes. When we do, we ask you to agree again the next time you use the app — you will see what changed, and the version above will have moved. ## Law These terms are governed by the law of Palestine, and the courts of Ramallah have jurisdiction. ## Contact Write to **[email protected]** with any question about these terms, or to **[email protected]** about your data. --- *DawaMap · Ramallah, Palestine*
