About DawaMap — linking patients to Palestinian pharmacies
DawaMap is a Palestinian platform that connects a patient to the nearest pharmacy through a simple map. It started with one question: why should a chronically ill patient walk between five pharmacies only to learn their medicine is out of stock?
Who we are
A small Palestinian team in Ramallah. We are not a pharmacy, we do not sell medicine, and we set neither prices nor insurance cover. We are a layer of communication between a patient and a pharmacy, and nothing more.
The pharmacy stays in charge: it decides availability, price and when an order will be ready, and it verifies insurance on its own systems exactly as it does today.
Our vision
That nobody in Palestine has to travel to find their medicine.
We start in Ramallah with a handful of pharmacies, and only expand once it genuinely works in one city. The goal is not the largest number of pharmacies — it is that a patient finds their medicine on the first try.
Who we support, and how
The platform is free for patients, and asks no pharmacy to buy hardware or learn a new system.
Patients
A map of nearby pharmacies, a prescription or a basket sent directly, and an answer on price and availability before leaving the house — or without leaving it at all, where the pharmacy delivers.
Elderly and chronically ill people
The people we design for first. Few, clear steps — and a monthly repeat prescription without a monthly journey.
Pharmacies
New orders from a browser alone, with no registration fee and no change to how the counter works.
Local healthcare
Demand stays with local pharmacies instead of moving away from them. We support the neighbourhood pharmacy rather than replace it.
What we commit to
Your privacy first
Your prescription reaches only the pharmacy you chose. We do not sell your data, we show no advertising, and the image is destroyed 90 days after the order ends.
Made in Palestine
Built here, for our own conditions, with the names of our cities and our pharmacies.
Simple above all
If Abu Khaled cannot use it the first time, the design is wrong — not him.
